Let's Talk Religion

Let's Talk Religion creates video content with the aim of increasing religious literacy in the world. We do so through talking about various subjects within the field of religion and religious studies from an academic, fair and unbiased perspective. My name is Filip Holm and I have a master's degree in religious studies from Södertörn University in Stockholm, Sweden. I have thus studied religion in its various forms and on a high level for many years, and have specialized primarily in Islam and Sufism. Religion is a significant factor in society, both today and historically, and yet people generally know very little about it outside of their own tradition. It is my firm belief that if religious education is improved and religious literacy in the world increases, there is more room for discussion, tolerance and understanding. But, on the internet, and especially on Youtube, it can be very hard to find content that is academic and trustworthy. Much of that which does exist is often either very simplified or polemical. Therefore, I started "Let's Talk Religion" to counter this trend, and to use my knowledge and experience in the field to share it with you. For me to be able to keep doing this with frequency and with an increasing quality, Patreon is a great way to help fund the channel and me through direct interaction with the audience.
