Aftab Iqbal is not a new name in the media industry. Aftab Iqbal is the son of the Urdu poet Zafar Iqbal. Aftab Iqbal was born on 19 September 1961.&nbsp;He received his master’s degree from&nbsp;Government College University Lahore&nbsp;in 1985. He further pursued his higher education at San Jose State University,&nbsp;California&nbsp;in 1986 in History and Mass Communication. He worked as a reporter from 1986 to 1987 and held some positions in the private sector companies of Pakistan. He briefly worked as a Media Advisor to&nbsp;the Chief Minister of Punjab, Mian Manzoor Wattoo&nbsp;from 1994 to 1995.In 2009 he started his first broadcast television show Hasb-e-Haal on Dunya News. He is said to be the trendsetter for Comedy Satire Infotainment. After that, he hosted another show called Khabarnaak on Geo TV in 2010. He hosted this show for 4 years. In 2014 he hosted Khabardaar on Express News from 2015 to 2018. After that, he simultaneously hosted Himaqatain&nbsp;from 2018 to 2020 on&nbsp;92News&nbsp;and&nbsp;Khabarzar&nbsp;on Aap News from 2018 to 2020. He then hosted Khabaryar&nbsp;on&nbsp;Neo News&nbsp;from 2020 to 2021. As of now, he is currently hosting&nbsp;Khabarhaar&nbsp;on&nbsp;Samaa News.In 2017 he made a breakthrough and started his own Youtube Channel by the name Aftab Iqbal. He has over 1.6 million followers on his YouTube channel and 7 million on Facebook from all over the world. Moreover, he has further three channels on YouTube, Aftabiyan, Karakoram TV, and Naya Time. Along with that, he hosts another fun and educational show at his café called Open Mic Café, and the name of the show also happens to be the same as his café’s name.Aftab Iqbal’s work is bilingual. He frequently writes a column in&nbsp;The News International and he also wrote articles for&nbsp;Newsweek Pakistan. As a columnist, he has written for a number of publications, including Express Tribune, Nawa-i-Waqt, Khabrien, and The Nation.
