Kento Bento

Hey Kentonians! (sorry, I need to come up with a better name) I really appreciate you checking out our Patreon page. If you want to contribute to the KB channel, this is the place to do it. Whether you decide to be a patron or not, I want to thank you (first and foremost) for being a subscriber to the channel. Who am I? I'm Kento, and I run the Kento Bento YouTube channel. We make animated documentary-style videos on everything and anything 'Asiany' — from extraordinary bank heists and prison breaks to North Korea's bizarre attempts at world dominance. By pledging, you'll be directly supporting the creation of all future videos. What will the money be used for? The money will always be put back into growing this channel. What Patreon directly helps with though, is affording me to work less hours in my other job, to spend more time creating KB videos. What other jobs do you have? Other than producing animated documentary-style videos, I'm also a professional chef specializing in Italian cuisine. (Yes, an odd combination!) How long do you take to make each video? About 1-3 months, depending on the video. It's a long process as I do just about every step - research, script, narration, art director, music and video editing. Do you have any formal qualifications? (If so, does it relate to YouTube?) I have a Culinary Degree which I guess isn't so surprising given my other job. I also have a Post-Graduate Degree in Applied Mathematics which is a qualification I never use! Neither of my degrees really connect to me doing videos, but it's always good to have something to fall back on if YouTube ever decides to de-monetize one too many of my videos. Will you increase the number of videos you do in the future? That's the plan! Hopefully with Patreon support, this will become a reality. Who does your illustrations/artwork? That would be myself (art director), and the talented Charlie Rodriguez (illustrator). Does Nina still help with the channel? For those who don't know, Nina is my significant other (who used to appear frequently in our early videos — most of them no longer public). Yes, she tries to help when she can, usually to do with artwork and design, but she has a lot going on right now with other projects. FYI, Nina has always been an integral part of our success. Without her, I just wouldn't be sane enough to run a YouTube channel — it's very stressful!
