Seattle police released the video of a lengthy chase and arrest of two teenage suspects in connection with a burglary and shooting in SODO.

Officers on Feb. 20 found a 23-year-old woman shot in the abdomen in a Greyhound Bus Depot parking lot in the 500 block of South Royal Brougham Way. Seattle Fire crews transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center in "stable, but serious condition," according to SPD. The suspects fled.

"King County Sheriff’s Office K9 and Air Support units arrived and assisted with tracking the suspects. A 17-year-old male and 15-year-old female were tracked to a secure City of Seattle facility in the 700 block of South Charles Street where a burglary was taking place," SPD wrote in a press release.

Officers recovered a firearm, took the suspects into custody, and transported them to the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center. The male was arrested for assault and the female for burglary, SPD confirms.

Another adult woman was booked on unrelated warrants, police said.

Court documents from the King County Prosecutor’s Office allege that the 17-year-old suspect, his girlfriend, and his sister were on the Greyhound bus from California. A woman claiming to be the 17-year-old’s aunt called SPD and stated that her nephew had stolen her shoes.

Within the documents, it’s revealed that most of the people involved in the incident are related or are known to each other.

Upon the bus arriving in Seattle, a witness report said that four or five subjects were "jumping" one of the three coming off the bus. They then heard a single gunshot.

It was later stated in the documents that the 23-year-old gunshot victim was a cousin’s girlfriend, and they were with the aunt when the fight occurred over the alleged stolen shoes.

Seattle police officials said the shooting victim was released from the hospital and has since recovered from her injuries.
