Supreme IT Insecticide
Supreme IT Insecticide
Supreme IT Insecticide, manufactured by Solutions Pest & Lawn, is an effective broad-spectrum insecticide due to its residual effect, which lasts for up to 90 days. When applied on labeled areas this product becomes a repellent to mosquitoes, cockroaches, and other pests on ornamentals, turf, and more. Upon application and after it has dried this insecticide will kill ants and other pests in lawns and labeled areas within an hour of treatment.
This suspended concentrate contains 7.9% of the active ingredient bifenthrin, which helps make this an effective spray for mosquitoes and other pests for various outdoor surfaces like your yard and indoor surfaces without emitting a strong odor. When applied this product works to kill roaches, spiders, and pests by paralyzing the central nervous system when contacted or ingested leading to eventual death.
Supreme IT Insecticide is great for spraying and treating pests like fleas, ants, spiders, and mosquitoes, but it is also labeled for 70+ pest insects. A little goes a long way with Supreme IT, as its low mix rate and high performance will make it an economical choice for any pest control problem for homeowners or professionals alike.
Tools Needed
To apply Supreme IT, you will need either a hose-end sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig. For small household jobs, we recommend a handheld 1-gallon pump sprayer or a 4-gallon backpack sprayer.
To ensure the efficacy of your spray application, we recommend you use a surfactant like Nanotek Surfactant. When mixed with your pesticide solution, it helps the active ingredient spread and stick more easily to applied surfaces, increasing the treated surface area.
Another product to consider with this solution is an insect growth regulator like Gentrol IGR Concentrate. This product will control juvenile pest, preventing them turning into reproductive adults and ceasing the pests life cycle.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Supreme IT to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Do this by measuring the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage.) Supreme can be mixed between 0.2 and 2 fl. oz. per gallon of water. For general pest applications, we recommend 1 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water to treat 1,000 sq. ft., but you can find exact rates on the product label. Divide your square footage by 1,000 to get the amount of spray you will need to use. For example, if you have 3,000 sq. ft. to treat, you will need to mix 3 ounces of Supreme I/T in 3 gallons of water (3,000/1,000 = 3.)
- Step 2: Now that you have calculated how much Supreme I/T you will need to use, fill your sprayer halfway with water. Use Supreme I/T's convenient tip-and-measure bottle to measure the appropriate amount of product to put in the sprayer. Add the remaining amount of water to your sprayer, then shake well to mix.
- Step 3: Once you have finished creating your solution, apply the Supreme IT mixture as a broadcast spray, or barrier spray around structures, or as a crack/crevice/baseboard spray indoors, or other approved methods mentioned on the label. For crack-and-crevice spraying, use a pin-stream nozzle setting to get precision spraying. For broadcast spraying, surface spraying, or perimeter treatment, use a fan nozzle spray setting to get uniform coverage.
Where to Use
Supreme IT can be used indoors or outdoors. Indoors, it can be used around baseboards, cabinets, windows, doors, and in other crack-and-crevice areas. Outdoors, it can be used as a broadcast spray on the lawn and vegetation, or around your structure's foundation, windows, doors, eaves, and plumbing/electrical openings.
This product can only be applied to in and around such areas as homes, commercial and industrial buildings, recreational areas, athletic fields, lawns and ornamentals. For use on plants intended only for aesthetic purposes or climactic modifications and being grown in interior plantscapes, ornamental gardens or parks, or lawns and grounds.
This product cannot be used on crops, sod farm turf, golf course turf, or grass grown for seed.
When to Use
Use Supreme IT when pest activity is high. For most areas of the country, this is between March and October. You will want to spray every 30-90 days depending on rain and pest severity. Supreme should kill pests in 1-2 days and prevent future infestations for up to 90 days.
Safety Information
Supreme IT is safe to use around pets and children when applied according to product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep pets and people away from treated areas until dry.
Special Considerations
Shake the bottle well before using. Since Supreme IT is a suspended concentrate, it can settle out once mixed in water. Because of this, we recommend that anything you mix up be used on the same day.
Supreme IT is formerly know as Reclaim I/T. Different name, same excellent product. Orders of the 96 oz. size may receive product with the Reclaim I/T label.
To help avoid overapplication in spot or broadcast treatment outdoors, we recommend you use a marking dye like Vision Blue or Vision Pro Max. These products are temporary colorants used to indicate where you have already sprayed. When mixed into your spray solution, your application will leave turf a deep blue color, reminding you where you have sprayed so you know not to apply there again.

Q:If application lasts for up to 90 days, how are pets safe after it dries?5/20/24A:Pesticides are generally safe after they have dried because the material is less likely to be transferred to a pet's skin or paws once it's dry. However, toxic residues can still remain on treated surfaces, so you should still take precautions to keep your pet away from licking, chewing, or eating any treated plants or other items.

Q:Will it affect birds/squirrels, etc who eat acorns leaves and seeds that have been sprayed?5/19/24A:They should be ok if you're not spraying an insecticide directly on their food source. Birds are more likely to be harmed by eating seeds exposed to an insecticide so be careful when spraying or applying any chemicals in the area of birds.

Q:Ok I have a flea issue in my backyard, and they are moving in the house now! I want to use the granular Bifen LP and this product how should I apply it. Granular first then use my 4 gallon back sprayer? Because the Bifen LP says to water it to activate it, but I'm going to apply the Supreme right after! Would that count as a water sprayer? If not and I do need to water it, and does this affect me spraying the Supreme IT after because its wet? Thanks again5/18/24A:Yes, you will apply Bifen LP first (we recommend treating the front and back yard to ensure total flea control) with a push or broadcast spreader. Then using a backpack sprayer or a handheld pump sprayer, spray Supreme IT instead of using water to active the Bifen granules. By watering the granules in with this insecticide instead of water you further increase elimination of this pest. Simply apply Supreme IT at a rate of 1 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. You will also want to create a chemical barrier around the exterior of your home by spraying 3 feet up and 3 feet out from the foundation as well as windows, doors, eaves, and plumbing/electrical penetrations. By performing a perimeter treatment you reduce the risk of indoor flea infestations.

Q:What's the difference between Supreme IT and Ant-Trac ant bait? Both are applied around windows and doors and around perimeter of house.5/6/24A:Both products are effective against ants. Ant-Trax Ant Bait is an ant gel bait and Supreme IT is a residual/contact insecticide. You will want to first use Ant-Trax so the foraging ants will take the product back to their nest where insecticides cannot normally reach. This way the entire ant nest is eliminated. When you have noticed ant activity has decreased you can then apply Supreme IT which will create a chemical barrier against ants so they cannot enter your property. Any ants that cross these treated areas will perish. Keep in mind that applying Supreme IT and Ant-Trax together at the same time will make ants retreat from the bait thus making it ineffective.

Q:Does the Supreme IT keep cicadas away? If so, if a dog eats a cicadas that has been killed by the product is it harmful to them?4/30/24A:Yes, Supreme IT will prevent and eliminate cicadas for up to 90 days after application. Secondary poisoning is possible for pets after consuming a pest deceased from a pesticide treatment, but depending on the concentration, size of the animal, how long the products been in the bug the effects will vary. The best thing to do is to contact your local veterinarian to determine the best course of action for your pet.

Q:I have something that has a painful bite but I can’t see it. It usually doesn’t itch and doesn’t leave any marks but I noticed the bites are at dawn and dusk. My son doesn’t get bit. I’ve used many IGR’s and insecticides but nothing stops the constant biting, I’m miserable. I’ve had pest control people come in and they leave glue boards but they get nothing. What is this pest that is biting me all over..?? Midges..??4/14/24A:They are known to bite between that time frame and leave behind tiny red spots on the skin after biting. However, the bite marks are typically itchy. To control and confirm if they are biting midges (also known as noseeums) check out our DIY guide. We also recommend that any type of health issue be checked out by your local doctor as well. https://www.solutionsstores.com/noseeum-control
