ABOUT OUR MISSION The last five centuries since the beginning of the Columbian Exchange has been a whirlwind of culinary progress, with ingredients criss-crossing the globe and influences spreading through trade, war, and conquest. Our mission at OTR is to unravel that mystery and tell the story of what we call modern cuisine, through the people and events that shape our world today. We're based in one of the world's great culinary melting pots, Bangkok, Thailand; as perfect a place as any to follow the threads wherever they might lead. Telling this story the way that it deserves requires a massive amount of work and effort from a very small team- myself (Adam), our videographer and editor Jaspar, and Daria, who handles social media and back-end work. To produce a full mini-documentary each week means that we work nearly 24-7, with late nights, road trips, and constant edits and re-edits to get this right. We think what we're doing is important and more than that, we're fueled by a serious respect for the people who dedicate their lives to their food, and we want to show that respect to them by telling their stories as well as we possibly can. But it's not easy, and for Jaspar and I, that means it's more than a full-time commitment. We need your support to help us keep this going. It's a labor of love for us and something we'd do for free...but it's not free, it costs us money each week, and to continue to produce what we hope is extremely high-quality content, we need your help. For anyone who likes our work enough to support us- we cannot thank you enough. Seriously, thank you from the bottom of our heart.
