Kata “baceprot” dari nama band mereka berasal dari bahasa Sunda yang berarti “berisik”. Itu dipilih untuk mewakili jenis musik yang mereka mainkan. VOB mulai menarik perhatian ketika video band yang membawakan cover lagu Rage Against The Machine pada tahun 2015 menjadi populer di YouTube . Mereka bertiga terus memproduksi lebih banyak video dari mereka yang mengcover lagu-lagu idola mereka, termasuk Red Hot Chili Peppers , Metallica , dan Slipknot , yang mendapat lebih banyak perhatian dari media lokal dan internasional.
