In this #RagiLadduRecipe; ragi flour is slightly roasted and mixed with jaggery, ghee, roasted nuts and raisins. Try out this #HealthyRagiLaddoo with Cookd’s simple recipe. Ragi Laddu Recipe: Ragi Flour - 1 Cup Ghee - 3 tbsp Jaggery - ½ Cup Water - ¼ Cup + 2 tbsp Cashew Nuts (chopped) - 10 nos Raisins - 1 tbsp Cardamom Powder - ¼ tsp Cooking Instructions: 1. Roast the cashews and raisins in 1 tbsp of ghee until golden brown. 2. Strain and transfer to a bowl, set aside. 3. In the same pan add the ragi flour and roast until aromatic, 5 mins on a low flame. Stir continuously. 4. Set aside in a bowl. 5. Dissolve the jaggery with water on a flame and then boil it for 2 mins until it thickens slightly, almost to 1 string consistency. 6. Add 2 tbsp of ghee and the nuts to the ragi flour, combine well. 7. Add some syrup at a time to form a dough, in 2 additions. 8. Divide and form the dough into laddoos while still slightly warm with greased palms. Cooking Tips: 1. If the mixture is too dry after adding the jaggery syrup, sprinkle some water while forming the laddoos about 1-2 tsp while the mixture is still warm. 2. If the syrup is too thick or more than 1 string consistency mix in 1-2 tbsp of water prior to adding in the ragi flour. 3. If the syrup is too thin once added in the mixture, allow it to cool slightly, the mixture will thicken/ dry out a bit then they can be shaped. 4.
