The coffee and fast food restaurant advertises this contest by saying "no purchase necessary," but when we tried to ask an employee, they weren't aware of this! In Canada, if you run a contest that people have to pay-to-play, it is classified as a lottery which only the government can run. The way companies find a way around this is by adding a free entering option - and in Tim Horton's case, it was to write and mail in an 50+ word essay. So we did, and we won a free Crave subscription for two months. Worth it? |
