It is also known as Vedmi in Gujarati, Boli in Malayalam and Tamil, Baksham or Bobbattu or Oliga in Telugu and Polae for much thinner version in Telangana, Holige or Obbattu in Kannada, Ubbatti or simply Poli in Konkani. In this recipe of Instant Puran Poli I have shown easy way of making this dish, this puran poli is made without soaking or grinding the chana dal.
