Puliyogare gojju recipe. Puliyogare rice is served on auspicious occasions in south indian states such as Karnataka, Telegana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala & Tamil Nadu. Puliogare rice can be instantly made with Mtr puliogare powder. Puliogare is Kannada recipes special, vegetarian dinner recipe. It is sweet & sour because jaggery or sugar & tamarind is used in this recipe. puliogare powder tamarind rice. @MTRFoodsIN @ruchirarecipes Ingredients for Puliogare recipe - Rice - 2 cups (preferably- Sona masoori rice) - Chana dal - 1 tsp - Urad dal - 1 tsp - Peanuts - handful - Mustard seeds - 1 tsp - 6-7 Curry Leaves - Oil - 3 tbsp - Coriander leaves - Salt - MTR puliogare powder (4 tbsp) Recipe for making puliogare / tamarind rice 1) Firstly, take 2 cups rice (preferably sona masuri rice) You can also use leftover rice Wash & rinse the rice properly Then again add water (4 cups) and pressure cook the rice For Instant pot: timer: 5 mins Pressure level: High Don’t release the pressure through vault and open the lid. (Its take around 15 mins for opening the lid) After removing the rice, allow it to cool down (it took me 30 mins to have cooled rice) After the rice is cooked, allow it to cool down (it took me 30 mins to have cool rice) 2) Meanwhile prepare the paste (puliyogare gojju), by heating 3 tbsp oil in a pan 3) Once the oil is hot, add 1 tsp mustard seeds. Wait until the mustard seeds splutters or crackles 4) Then add 6-7 curry leaves, 1 tsp urad dal, 1 tsp chana dal. When the dal slightly changes color, add handful of peanuts. Sauté or fry everything for about 2 mins on low flame 5) Then add MTR puliogare masala - 4 tbsp If you don’t have mtr puliogare masala, make the masala at home using the following recipe: Heat a pan and add 2 tsp oil Then add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds & wait till it splutters Then add these remaining ingredients 1 tbsp cumin / jeera Peanuts or groundnuts - 1 tbsp 2 tbsp sesame 2 tbsp coriander seeds 1 tbsp urad dal or black gram 1 tbsp chana dal or gramdal 1/4 tsp black pepper 1/4 tsp methi / fenugreek 1/4 cup dry coconut 7 dried red chilli few curry leaves Salt 1/8 tsp Turmeric Pinch of Hing or asafoetida Roast all the ingredients properly Then roughly grind the masala You can preserve this masala for using it later also Prepare Jaggery & soaked tamarind paste Add this paste & the homemade puliogare masala *Note: Don’t add tamarind paste if you are using MTR puliogare powder 6) add 1/2 cup water & mix the masala properly. Puliyogare gojju is ready. 7) Then add the cooked & cooled rice. Mix the rice properly & break the lumps if any. 8) MTR puliogare powder has salt. Taste the rice & add salt if required. 9) Add some chopped coriander 10) Serve this traditional puliogare rice with plain curd or yogurt and some chips or papad Make this rice on auspicious occasions or whenever you want something instantly for your dinner or lunch.
