In ISRO’s third launch of the year, the organization launched the PSLV-C55 mission carrying two Singaporean satellites. Indian Space Research Organisations (ISRO) Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle C55 (PSLV-C55) carrying Singapore’s TeLEOS-2 as the primary satellite and Lumelite-4 as a co-passenger satellite took off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, at 14.19 hours on April 22. Early on Saturday, ISRO's PSLV rocket launched a pair of Singaporean satellites from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre. This was 57th flight of PSLV. TeLEOS-2 & Lumilite-4, 2 Singapore satellites weighing 741 kg & 16 kg respectively, were placed into a 586 km circular orbit. PSLV- C55/TeLEOS-2 mission is accomplished successfully. In a textbook launch, the vehicle placed TeLEOS-2 and LUMELITE-4 satellites precisely into their intended 586 km circular orbit. #PSLVC55 #PSLV #ISRO |
