| Video Discription | Dr. Snodgrass and Dr. Bush of the Hypospadias Specialty Center demonstrate the 2nd of a planned 3 step repair for severe hypospadias. At the first surgery (STAC repair), they straightened the severe chordee with 3 corporotomies and reconstructed the ventral penile skin. At this step 6 months later, they harvest a prepucial graft after ensuring the penis is straight. This unedited video also shows how to best start the surgery to ensure the graft isn't damaged with retraction of the skin, how the graft is measured and secured, and quilting of the graft into place. When the graft has healed, it will be used to form the urinary channel from the scrotum out to the tip of the penis. |
