| Video Discription | In this video we look back at teen boys serving time in a maximum-security prison in Indiana and what life was like inside for kids who had been sentenced as adults. During the time of filming, all kids under the age of 18 who had been sentenced to adult prison were incarcerated in the Youth Incarcerated as Adults cell block inside the adult prison. By law, kids under 18 must be sight and sound separated from the adult prison population, but once they turn 18, they are immediately transferred to the adult population with 3,000 other adults. Since the time of filming, all youth sentenced as adults are now transferred to Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility where they are kept in a separate cell block away from the juvenile population.
