Description of test: Test for integrity of posterior cruciate ligament Protocol: observe the position of tibia in relation to femur, in 90° knee flexion with a) 45° flexion in hip (foot in the table) and b) 90° flexion in the hip. Then, ask the patient to make an active knee extension. Positive test: the tibia is posteriorly translated in relation to the femur, in either a) or b). In active knee extension the tibia translates anteriorly, to a normal position. |
