| Video Discription | Bakshalu | Puran Poli | Bobbatu | Holige recipe | Obbattu Recipe | Polilu For more Recipes please subscribe https://www.youtube.com/c/PallaHomeFoods?sub_confirmation=1 #bakshalu#bobbatlu Ingredients : Maida/all purpose flour - ½ cup Water - ¼ cup Oil- 2 tbsp Ghee for roasting For Stuffing Chana dal - 1 cup Water - 1 liter Grated jaggery - 1 cup Cardamom- 4 Procedure : Step 1:In a bowl add ½ cup of maida,pinch of salt and 1 tbsp of oil.Mix until it combines well then add ¼ cup of water in batches.Punch and knead the dough about 10 minutes.The dough should be slightly sticky and soft, at the last add 1 tbsp of oil and knead 2 minutes to absorb oil in the dough. Step 2:Rest the dough 2- 3 hours. For stuffing: Step 3: In a bowl add 1 cup of chana dal,wash with water twice and add 1 liter of water.Keep the bowl on the stove and cook on medium flame.Remove the white layer from the dal while boiling.Check the dal by mashing in between the fingers(do not overcook the dal). Step 4:Once dal cooked well drain the water from the dal and cool down completely. Step 5: Once cooldown transfer to a blender and add 4 cardamoms.Grind them into fine powder.Add 1 cup of grated jaggery into the dal powder and grind into fine paste.Now make lemon size balls and keep aside in a plate. Step 6: Apply ghee to butter paper and also to the palms, then take small portion of soaked maida.Gently flatten on the palms and stuff dal paste(dal portion will be more than maida dough).Seal the dough by pushing upwards and pinch any extra maida dough. Step 7:Now keep the dough ball on the greased butter paper, add a few drops of ghee and gently flatten and then cover the greased butter paper on the top. press outwards to spread stuffing evenly. Step 8: Once it spreads thinly, flip on the greased hot tawa and roast on medium flame until it turns golden brown by applying ghee. Step 9:Serve hot puran poli/bakshalu with ghee.
