| Video Discription | * (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Queens, N.Y. — On the evening of December 29, 2023, two Metropolitan Transit Authority, (MTA) officers were searching for an individual on Sutphin Boulevard in Queens following a report of an alleged sexual assault. The incident occurred after a 19-year-old woman reported a groping incident at 10:11 p.m. to MTA officers at the MTAPD Jamaica district office. The officers spotted 52-year-old Bashe McDaniell, who appeared to be wearing the same clothing that was described in the report. As the officers were attempting to handcuff McDaniel, he fired a gun. The officers discharged their service weapons in response, striking McDaniel. McDaniel was transported to a local hospital, where he was ****ounced dead.
