And when gaming is already a cacophony of sound, it can get pretty intense. Like when I’m throwing grenades in Rebirth, the explosions just blast through the ears, which really take a beating. In practice, I found this not to be of much use while gaming, as it increased the mental load of trying to figure out what was going on. The one thing to note is that you aren’t going to get the typical rumble or bump that comes with bass-heavy headphones. Instead, the Pulse Elites feature a more tightly controlled bass that sounds more “natural” and won’t come anywhere close to rattling your teeth. When I’m listening to music or watching movies, I tend to like a bit more rumble to bass, but when gaming these are pretty much perfect.
