The first step was generating a list of all our fragrances with phthalates, then contacting the vendors about reformulating them. Once we got the reformulations, we had to test them. We tested fragrances hundreds of times to make sure they performed well in cold process soap and the scent didn’t fade after 6 weeks of curing. The process took about 4 years. Bramble Berry Research and Development Manager Caitlin said we did hundreds of tests to get the fragrances just right. "The vendors resubmitted the same fragrances 3-4 times on some of them," Caitlin said. We are proud to announce that after years of testing, all Bramble Berry fragrance oils are 100% phthalate free.
