This was done as part of my degree show in 2007 so it has a lot of sentimental value and forever reminds me of that transition between student and the real world :). I was so excited to get these paint your own dolls because it has so much room for creativity. I decided to do a sparkly sweet lolita and a Rilakkuma kigurumi. Definitely use ACRYLIC PAINT for this project. Custom Doll Painting Tips: 1) Let each coat of paint dry completely before painting another one. The colour will become slightly darker when dry, so don't worry if the shades don't match perfectly when you add the second coat. 2) Acrylic paint is very opaque so if you make mistakes, just cover them up again.
