Godhumai Paal Poli is a traditional and delicious #FestiveDessertRecipe from TamilNadu. This #GodhumaiPaalPoli is made using Aashirvaad whole wheat flour, milk, sugar, and nuts. In Partnership with @Aashirvaad Godhumai Paal Poli Recipe: Aashirvaad Whole Wheat Flour (Atta) - 1 Cup Maida (All purpose flour)- 2 tbsp Rava (Semolina) - 2 tbsp Sugar - ¼ Cup + 2 tbsp + 1tbsp Water - ½ Cup Cardamom Powder - ¼ tsp Cashew Nuts - ¼ Cup Almonds - ¼ Cup Salt - A Pinch Ghee - 1 tsp Milk - 500 ml Cooking Instructions: 1. Allow the milk to simmer on a low flame until thickened, about 15-20 mins. Add the ¼ cup of sugar and cardamom powder. 2. Knead a smooth and firm dough of wheat flour, maida and rava with the ghee and some water. Rest the dough for 10 mins. 3. Divide the dough into small roundels and flatten them out thin like a chapati, pierce holes with a fork to prevent them from puffing up. 4. Fry them in medium hot oil until golden and cooked. 5. Dip the poli in the hot milk for a minute and drain them out. 6. Blend the cashew nuts and almonds into a powder by carefully pulse blending with 1 tbsp of sugar. 7. Add the powdered nuts on top of the polis. 8. Top with some warm milk as needed. Cooking Tips: 1. Dropping a steel spoon in the pan, completely immersed, while simmering the milk prevents it from boiling over.
