| Video Discription | A six-inch Giant Owl butterfly evicts a smaller Blue Morpho butterfly from the feeding table in a surprising wrestling match. This is the most aggressive butterfly conflict I have ever seen. The Giant Owl grabs the Blue Morpho's forewings with its front legs and wrestles the Morpho to the ground. Then it lifts it up and drops it off of the table. It appears that both butterflies were intent on feeding from the same slice of orange and it got macho. The video was taken in slow motion (120fps) at Butterfly World near Swindon. |
