| Video Discription | The owners of Organic Care of California Delivery Dispensary, Chaz & Shantel, go over how they started in the industry over 13 years ago. I started with education but found their love in growing medicinal marijuana under prop. 215. Grew from 1 to 11 properties before Butte County changed its ordinance to enforce 100 sq ft growing allowed per property in 2016. In 2016 Code Enforcement hit 5 of the 6 properties I owned multiple times, causing me to pull the plants once I saw the fines posted on my gate. The county passed an ordinance that charged you $1,000.00 after 72 hrs from the time code enforcement put the notice on your gate. Then the county could charge $1,000.00 a DAY after that until you harvest. Or to drop all fines you can pull your plants and have them check your property to prove that you aren't growing anymore. I pulled and planted 3 times at one property within 3 months. By the time I planted the 3rd crop it was late July and the plants were very small and not worth the stress and work. Due to that not being sustainable, I moved all my concerns to go legal in 2017. Paid around $5,000 to file as a non-profit, get seller's permit, and file a fictitious name statement. Opening Organic Care of California January 20th, 2017, and was voted New's and Reviews #3 Best Dispensary in April 2017 after being open for only 3 months. Unfortunately in December Chico passed an ordinance banning all marijuana sales. We had to close December 31st, 2017, due to the new ordinance. I moved to Sacramento and spent our life saving to be able to open the licensed delivery on June 20th, 2018. Thank you for viewing and remember, "We are nothing without YOU!"
