I'm an APRN with Norton Community Medical Associates. Um, I have been a nurse for seven years. Um, I love taking care of people. I love, um, teaching people about their own health and how to get healthier. Um, so that's what I do. I came from a family that's got a lot of health conditions and I saw a lot of providers that didn't take their time to teach people, uh, how to make themselves better. And so that's kind of why I got into primary care. Um, I really like helping people figure out what's going on with their bodies and how to make them better and healthier and work more efficiently. With preventative care and primary care, it's important to get, um, people's problems fixed before they start. Uh, I really enjoy educating people in a way that's not preachy and it's not, um, like I'm better than you or anything like that. (00:59) I'm came from a very unhealthy family. Uh, I was very unhealthy as a child, so it's really important to me to be able to meet people where they're at and kind of work with them on what they need, um, to move forward and to get healthier. I'm from Oldham County, Kentucky, grew up in a little bitty tiny town on the river called Westport. Um, I have been basically born and raised here. Originally I went to Berea College, uh, kind of in central Kentucky. And uh, more recently I graduated from Northern Kentucky University with my master's degree and that's how I got my APR in. I like to work out a lot. I like, uh, weightlifting, I like running. Um, and then crochet is probably like my biggest hobby, I guess, taking care of my kids. |
