We woke up in Rome, the weather was sunny but very cold, we started with a visit to Piazza di Spagna and Spanish Steps.
We had a touristic stop at Rosati, a very enjoyable experience, the club sandwich was made with good ingredients and a nice balance.
Next, we visited Brillo, where we had the best super al dente carbonara.
For Gelato, we tried La Strega Nocciola, Low in sugar, and upscaled with Rich flavors.
Don Nino Gelato is extremely commercial, high in sugar, and very expensive.
Luciano’s gelato is our third discovery, very generous, but not so delicious.
For dinner we enjoyed Sofia restaurant, it was one of the highlights of the trip, every plate was perfectly cooked and served.

Italian cuisine is a Mediterranean cuisine consisting of the ingredients, recipes and cooking techniques developed in Italy since Roman times and later spread around the world together with waves of Italian diaspora. Some of these foods were imported from other cultures. Significant changes occurred with the colonization of the Americas and the introduction of potatoes, tomatoes, capsicums, maize and sugar beet—the latter introduced in quantity in the 18th century. It is one of the best-known and most appreciated gastronomies worldwide.
