Donald Trump recently released his "alternative" to Twitter where he can give his ridiculous proclamations to anyone willing to read them. But according to data analysis, very few people are actually going to his new site, and his proclamations aren't being shared in any real way on other social media outlets. Like most of Trump's projects, this one has become a complete failure, as Farron Cousins explains.

According to a data analysis by NBC news, Donald Trump's new little blog is already an abject failure. Now, if you're not familiar with this story, a couple of weeks ago, Donald Trump announced that he was creating this new platform that was going to rival Twitter because as he put it himself, we discussed here, uh, Twitter was super boring. He didn't want to do Twitter anymore. He's glad he's kicked off. He's got this new thing cooking. That's totally gonna blow Twitter out of the water. It's far more eloquent.
He said elegant, not eloquent. Um, I wish I was more eloquent than I would have been, but anyway,
So he creates this thing and it immediately gets widely ridiculed because what it is is a blog like Donald Trump put his brainpower to work all of his aids and all of their brain power. And they came up with dudes. What if you just started a blog? Yeah. Just like write down your thoughts and feelings about things.
And that's what he did.
I mean, it's, it's pretty much a basic blog template, but it looks nice. Let's don't get me wrong. It looks nice, but it's a blog. And so what he did on his little blog is he puts these little posts out there longer than a tweet, longer than 280 characters. Um, with the hope that everybody would flock to his website to see what his thoughts are on everything from the, you know, Kentucky Derby
To the Matt gates scandal to Liz Cheney and everything else in between
Is this data analysis by NBC news shows that, uh, yeah, nobody is going to his website. Furthermore, his second hope was that people would take these little proclamations
That he makes on his blog and push them
Out to other social media. So even though he's gone from Facebook and Twitter, people could share his words and it would be like he never really left. And the analysis shows that that's actually not
Happening either.
Nope. Nobody cares what Donald Trump has to say.
And this is great because we've been wanting this to happen for a very long time. Think about when Donald Trump first started his little proclamations before he had the website and he was issuing out those little statements from the desk of the 45th president of the United States. People were sharing them all over on Twitter and it was driving me insane because look, the guy only has as much power as we are willing to give him take that away. He has nothing, but the more you share his idiotic little statement, the more his presence increases.
And eventually people stopped doing it. People are not
Flocking to his way website to make fun of him. They're not flocking to his website to support him. They're just simply not going in. Those proclamations are Donald Trump barking in the
Dark and that's what needs to happen. So I guess much like Trump steaks, Trump, bottled water and Trump university and Trump airlines. And Trump's casinos. We can now add Trump's blog to the list of things that Donald Trump has tried to do, but just turned out to be another massive failure,
Except unlike those other projects, this one failed a hell of a lot faster because Donald Trump doesn't realize that outside those Republican
Suck ups, nobody gives a crap what he has to say. |
