| Video Discription | Are Derwent’s Inktense watercolor pencils going to change the way I create? Today I’m exploring them to find the answer to that question! I’ve been using Staedtler’s Karat Aquarell black watercolor pencil for many years and I’m always thrilled by the intense black it gives up when you touch it with a brush. Today I’ve been enjoying that same experience in technicolor! Join me as I explore and experiment my way through a set of 12 Inktense pencils (and a couple of Graphitint pencils) and use them in my loose and free style to sketch and “paint” a whimsical scene from my farm in France. Watch carefully and you’ll see how easy it is to control the color, and the best part is that there’s no time pressure! The pencil will wait patiently for you to be ready to add water! I’m already excited to try this method for my nature journal, sketching with the Inktense pencils outside and then coming back to the studio to add the water.
