MOTHER: Assalamualaikum!
I am Mehfuza. I am going to favour My Mother.
FATHER: Assalamualaikum and a very good evening to you all wonderful people. I am Umme Sulaim. I am going to object my friend Mehfuza as I am going to favour My Father.
Mother: My mother my love.
Father: My father my pride.
Mother: Mother introduces you to the world.
Father: Father introduces the world to you.
Mother: Mother gives you life.
Father: Father gives you living.
Mother: Mother teaches you how to talk.
Father: Father teaches you how to walk the talk.
Mother: Mother protects you from a fall.
Father: Father teaches you how to get up from a fall.
Mother: Mother secured you in her womb for nine months.
Father: Father was taking care of your mother all those nine months.
Mother: Mother made you play with toys when you were crying.
Father: Father brought all those toys for you with his hard-earned money.
Mother: Mother stays half of the day in the kitchen to prepare delicious food for us.
Father: Father works half of the day in the scorching sun to give us happy life.
Mother: Mother comes to our rescue when father is scolding.
Father: Father scolds us to inculcate manners and discipline.
Mother: Mother holds heaven for us beneath her feet..
Father: Father is one of the gates to the heaven.
Mother: It is the mother who wakes up first when her child cries out of pain at nights.
Father…………………………………………………….........................
Mother: Mother can stay away from her own parents but cannot imagine to be separated from her children.
Mother Mother can bear enormous pain while giving birth to a child but cannot see a tear in the eyes of her children.
Mother If mother dies first father marries another woman for support and if father dies first mother likes to remain widow and live all her life alone remembering her husband.
Father: Would you allow me to say please for a while?
MotherYes, you may.
Father Every effort our father is making is for our betterment, every sweat he is perspiring is for our comfort, every penny he is earning is for our future and career. I am really not able to understand how I should convince you.
Mother: Every word you have spoken about father has utter reality in them. I cannot deny and I never deny any of your statements. I understand your emotions and I do respect my father. I do love my father but I can convince you the greatness of mother over father in the light of Islam.
Once a man came to Prophet Muhammad Sallallahuwalaihiwasallam and asked Ya Rasool Allah! Who among the people deserves maximum respect [I mean in terms of love and attachment]?
Prophet Muhammad Sallallahuwalaihiwasallam replied,
YOUR MOTHER.That man asked, Then who? Prophet Muhammad [SAWS] said, YOUR MOTHER. That man asked again, then who? Prophet Muhammad [SAWS] said, Your Mother. That man asked further, then who? Prophet Muhammad [SAWS] said, then Your Father. My dear friend what I have mentioned to you is an authentic Hadees - taken from Bukhari Shareef and let me tell you………..
Father: Would you hold on a moment please? I give up. I stop my debate here. I cannot utter a single word any further. Now that you have mentioned the hadees of Prophet Muhammad [Peace be upon Him] I am convinced wholeheartedly that the importance of mother over father is three times greater and I thank you for convincing me and I declare that you have won the debate.
Mother: Well! My dear friend! It’s not the matter of defeat or victory. In fact, I would say. The one who admits the fact, the one who admits the truth is the wise person. You kept your emotions aside and have given up. You have shown the respect you have for Prophet Muhammad SAWS and I am sure in the eyes of Allah you are a victorious person today.
May I have the honour of hugging with the victorious person?
