| Video Discription | Local media was allowed into Day 2 of Miami Dolphins OTAs, which means we’ve got actual highlights and updates to cover! One notable absence from the day’s practice session was quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, however he was excused from Tuesday’s session due to participating in a charity golf tournament put on by former Alabama head coach Nick Saban. We saw a defender sporting the team’s orange jersey for the second consecutive practice as cornerback Kader Kohou was deemed the top performer from Monday’s Miami Dolphins OTA session. Tua Tagovailoa wasn’t the only player missing from today’s OTA session as fellow teammates Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Odell Beckham Jr, Raheem Mostert and Jalen Ramsey were among the other Miami Dolphins that weren’t present at Tuesday’s practice. While present at Tuesday’s session, the Dolphins first-round pick from the 2024 NFL Draft - Chop Robinson - along with Cam Smith and Aaron Brewer all did individual work on the side with trainers. Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips also did work along the side with trainers. During his media availability, Jevon Holland sounded off once again against former defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Holland praised new defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver, but definitely took another jab at Fangio in the process. Jevon Holland also talked a little bit about a potential contract extension with the Miami Dolphins. Rookie running back Jaylen Wright was introduced to the South Florida heat as he was spotted vomiting at the end of Tuesday’s OTA session. Head coach Mike McDaniel also announced that the Miami Dolphins will hold joint practices with each of their preseason opponents this season, including two with the Atlanta Falcons, one with the Washington Commanders and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. De’Von Achane took advantage of Raheem Mostert missing practice by catching numerous passes, including a long ball from Skylar Thompson. While talking with the media, wide receiver Erik Ezukanma discussed last season’s injury and how he questioned whether or not he’d be able to return to playing football. Free-agent acquisition Jody Fortson looked the part in Day 2 of Miami Dolphins OTAs brining in a pair of passes while showing off the ability to high point the ball as one of the team’s only bigger-bodied pass catchers. We also received positive reports from Dolphins offensive linemen Jack Driscoll and Patrick Paul - the Dolphins’ second-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
