| Video Discription | Why does Thrive Church exist? What are we here for? Our mission as a Global Methodist congregation is as clear as the gospel: Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly and serve generously. (see Matthew28:19-20) What is Thrive’s vision for accomplishing our mission? A vision provides specific details about what our church would look like as we accomplish our mission. In recent years we crafted this vision statement which became the source of our church’s name: Our vision is to be a thriving church where families can discover life, connect with Christ, grow in spirit and serve generously. Notice the keywords here? Connect. Grow. Serve. The essential morals, principles, or ideals that support the overall church ministry are the congregation’s core values. Values are what a church holds on to no matter what happens. They are nonnegotiable convictions that shape how the mission and vision of the church will be fulfilled. Every church operates by its own values system, even if they do not realize it. In this series we will take the time to identify and reflect on the Biblical foundation of Thrive’s values that drive our ministry. This is a key exercise as we begin to think and pray about a comprehensive plan for the future.
