Saturday: (change of plans) 0:00 - 24:12 Monday: (the best lasagna soup I’ve ever had, I need to be proud of myself) 24:13 – 40:09 Tuesday: (it’s getting really old) 40:10 – 46:52 Lasagna Soup 1 pound lean ground beef 1 pound chicken Italian sausage (or pork) Garlic to taste 4 cups chicken broth 1 32 ounce jar of marinara sauce Salt and pepper to taste Garlic powder, basil, and Italian seasoning to taste ¾ box lasagna noodles 2 cups heavy cream (or you can do 1 cup heavy cream and 1 cup half and half like I did) Ricotta cheese and parmesan cheese for the top Into a Dutch oven, brown up your meat and add your garlic. When cooked through, add 4 cups of chicken broth and a 32 ounce jar of marinara sauce. Add salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning to taste. Let that simmer for about 20-30 minutes (or longer). Add ¾ of a box of lasagna noodles (or other pasta of choice) and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until the pasta is cooked through. Add in 2 cups of heavy cream and some basil to taste, stir it together and then serve in a bowl. Top with some ricotta cheese and parmesan cheese.
