| Video Discription | The Mazda MX-5 is a lightweight two-passenger roadster sports car manufactured and marketed by Mazda with a front mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout.The first generation of the Mazda MX-5 (NA code) was for sale from 1989 to 1997. In Japan, it was sold as the Eunos Roadster and in North America as the Mazda Miata. The first version featured a 115 hp 1.6-liter engine, and Mazda would later introduce the 1.8L variant, capable of a more-impressive 130 hp. The design of the MX-5 took inspiration from the post-war era British sports cars, such as the MG B, Triumph Spitfire or Lotus Elan. Pop-up headlights were a distinguishing feature of the NA Miata. Best known for its handling rather than power abilities, this perfectly-refined package was about the closest you could get to having a road-legal go-kart. It's one of the most affordable and popular sports cars in the used car market. The Miata provides the perfect platform for tuning, and with the right upgrades, this humble two-seater can be transformed into something special that fights with the big boys.
