This staged version of Stravinsky’s The Soldiers Tale was released on BBC Four on Sunday 13 November 2022: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001f6zy Directed by Olivier Award winner Annabel Arden, with co-director Femi Elufowoju jr, it features Martins as The Solder, with Richard Katz as the Narrator, Martin Lockyer as the Devil and Faith Prendergast as the Princess. The Solder’s Tale tells of a soldier persuaded to sell his previous violin to an old man in exchange for a book in which he’ll find the secret of making untold wealth.
