An artist at heart and a real product of Southern California, he combined a love for the ocean, surfing and sailing with that other SoCal sub culture hot rodding and turned it into one of the greatest mashups every — the dune buggy. His trained sense of style made his little buggies elegant pieces of art but didn't take away from their purely practical and rugged usability.
