Macedonia was one of the fiercest and most prominent of the ancient Hellenic kingdoms, ruled by none other than Alexander the Great, eventually going on to conquer nearly the entirety of the Persian Empire, but what happened to the Macedonians over the generations? Today we'll be looking at a rather controversial subject for some, that being the position of ancient Macedonia as well as the modern Greek region of Macedonia and the Republic of Northern Macedonia (formerly known as Republic of Macedonia).
