Seven Stars in Kyushu started operating on October 15, 2013, and aims to travel around Kyushu and enjoy nature, food, hot springs, history, etc. The train names are based on the seven prefectures of Kyushu (Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Oita, Miyazaki, and Kagoshima) and the seven main tourist attractions of Kyushu (nature, food, hot springs, history, culture, power spots, humanity) and a 7-car passenger car. JR Kyushu considers this vehicle to be an "adult space," so tour participants are limited to junior high school students and above.
