Pearly penile papules are small dome-shaped or thread-like skin-coloured bumps that are typically located on the sulcus or corona of the glans penis and in this video you’ll be able to see lots more examples of these in the clinical photos I will show throughout this short video. Normally the papules are commonly arranged all the way around the head of the penis in one or several rows. They are harmless and NOT an infection. Penile papules are a normal anatomic variant. They are not due to sexual activity or lack of hygiene. They are not infectious or contagious, unlike genital warts. They are not malignant or pre-malignant and what I mean by this is they are not a cancer, nor are they a precursor to cancer. This video will be of interest to medical professionals (doctors, nurses etc.), health care students (medical and nursing students), those preparing for exams - (medical school finals, GP AKT, USMLE,) and the general public interested in health education.
