| Video Discription | LIMELIGHT - 0:00 Listening to Limelight, the drum intro takes longer to kick in than on the studio version. Geddy’s vocals are still double-tracked in some points, however. Even the whammy bar solo that we all know and love is only in it’s early stages. Instead, we get a fast-paced, Permanent Waves-like Guitar solo. The solo ends on the same note as the studio version as well. This has been uploaded by some other channels, but we aren’t given any source for the recording except for that it’s a “1980 bootleg.” SUBDIVISIONS - 4:38 Starting off the recording of Subdivisions, the synths and entire song sounds slightly raised in pitch, as well as much faster paced. I’m not sure if this is due to a malfunction on the tape, or if the song was simply recorded that way. We get no guitar solo from Alex, but other than that, the song sounds almost exactly the same in it’s early stages. |
