This is footage of a 5 lap shakedown in this car. Thoughts on the car… I’ve never driven Porsche before, certainly not a Nurburgring record holding 911 either. Getting to grips with a high horsepower rear engines car proved to be challenging initially, and is an entirely different experience from my Performance Pack Mustang. The power delivery is almost instant, and keeps pulling like a train all the way up to redline. If you’re fast enough, there’s loads of grip and the car is very compliant (if you know what you’re doing). Driving a car of this magnitude requires a great deal of concentration, skill and seat time to get the most out of it. I struggled a little with understanding the braking and mid corner control, but amazingly, I achieved the fastest time of the session, and at the time of this video rank 330 out of over 25000 people. My experience with Speed Vegas and Exotics Racing was phenomenal. I would do this again, and again! Fastest lap was achieved on lap 4/5. |
