This video provides step by step directions to transform a laminate top into real wood using a product called "Liquid Wood" by Retique It. The company says that the final results look just like real wood. I was not compensated by the company and I personally paid for the product. In this video, I provide my honest opinion of this product without being influenced by the company. The French Provincial desk that I chose to use it on is a custom piece provided by a client. We had discussed staining the top and then antiquing the body of the desk. However, when I removed the two layers of paint on the top, I found that it was not wood but laminate!
