| Video Discription | Homemade all purpose masala / Gravy Masala / Kuzhambu Podi is a South Indian style all-purpose chilli powder, also called as Kuzhambu Milagai Thool in Tamil. in this video am showing my family's traditional style of adding various spices along with dried red chilli and dhaniya to make it more aromatic, tasty and flavourful recipe. This is used to make a variety of veg and non-veg kuzhambu, gravies and even for poriyal, varuval, curries. And also This powder can be used to prepare various kuzhambu varieties like vathal puli kuzhambu, poondu kuzhambu, puli kulambu, meen kulambu, kaara kuzhambu, sambar and almost any curry in Tamil. Get the spices, sun-dry to fry them and cool to grind. Once ground, again cool it down for 2-3 hours in open space and then seive to store it in an airtight container. And u can use the powder up to 8-12 months. You will need to add 2 Tbsp of this Kulambu powder to a curry (kuzhambu) which is meant for 4 people. So adjust the level of powder accordingly.
