| Video Discription | The Kohala Volcano is located on the north part of the Big Island of Hawai'i. Back in December 2022 I took a trip to the Kohala area to include Pololu Lookout. You will notice the change from desert conditions to lush rainforest conditions while driving north on route 250. Kohala last erupted about 60000 years ago and is considered extinct. It is also home to 6 different climates zones ranging from a desert on the west side to a lush continuously wet rain forest on the east side all within 10 miles of each other!
