No Holi is complete without some mathri being made at home. But often while making mathri we encounter a problem. Sometimes the mathri become crisp from the outside but stays raw inside. Sometimes, the mathri does not turn out crisp at all! So, I have shared with you some important tips on making the perfect crisp mathri. There are some holi recipes without which holi seems incomplete. Holi is one of them! Thank you for watching! 💫 And don’t forget to subscribe here: https://goo.gl/mQwVjN **************************************************************************** Recipe : Mathri Preparation Time: 20 minutes Cooking time: 20 minutes Makes: 20-25 Ingredients: 2 cups flour ¼ tsp carom seeds 1 tsp crushed black pepper 1 tsp kasuri methi ½ cup ghee ¾ tsp salt Method: Add crushed carom seeds, black pepper, crushed kasuri methi, salt to the flour. Add the ghee and rub well with your fingertips till it resembles breadcrumbs. Add ¼ cup water and collect the dough together. Sprinkle more water to bind the dough if required. Do not over knead the dough. Rest the dough for 10 minutes. Break the dough into marble sized balls. Flatten out the dough with your palms. Heat 3” oil in a pan. Add prepared mathris on low to moderately hot oil. Fry on low heat till golden and crisp. Remove from pan on an absorbent paper.
