Add ghee, cashewnuts and raisins to a heated pan. Roast them until are golden brown in colour. Keep them aside. 2. To the same pan, add ghee and sooji. Roast for 10 mins on low flame / until light brown in colour. Keep it aside. 3. To a pot, add water and let it boil. Then add the food colour. This is optional. 4. Add in the roasted sooji and cook until it thickens and add saffron. Mix well and add ghee. Then add oil. 5. Mix well and cook again. 6. Add sugar only after the sooji gets cooked completely. Mix and cook until sugar melts fully and the mixture is thickened. 7. Next add the cardamom powder, roasted cashews and raisins. 8. Add ghee again and give it all a quick mix. 9. Turn off the stove and serve Rava Kesari hot!
