It’s also known as God’s Own Country, as well as the Land of Coconuts. I started my road trip through the state in its capital, Thiruvananthapuram, also known as Trivandrum. You also can’t miss Kovalam Beach, Napier Gardens, and the colossal bird statue at Jatayu Earth’s Center in nearby Chadayamangalam. But, as expected, it was the food in Trivandrum that truly blew me away. From the beef curry and fresh porottas at Good Morning Hotel to the pazham pori and pothu curry at Edaneram Restaurant, I was in Southern Indian food bliss! And no trip to Trivandrum is complete without having a traditional sadhya feast at Mother’s Veg Plaza.
