Arun and Sheeba were having a close bond which they nurtured through social media. Knowing that Sheeba was a married woman and the mother of two children, Arun slowly started to withdraw himself from the love affair. And that is what led to the brutal attack from Sheeba’s side. Sheeba, a native of Adimali Mannamkandam, Idukki, was arrested on Saturday in connection with the acid attack on Arun Kumar, a native of Thiruvananthapuram. The housewife was outraged when the young man, whom she met through social media, was about to withdraw from their affair and got prepared for another marriage. The acid attack on Arun Kumar took place on Tuesday. Arun Kumar lost one eye sight in the attack. The duo got acquainted through Facebook and gradually fell in love. Sheeba even came to Thiruvananthapuram to stay with the young man and was working as a home nurse. But when Arun found out that Sheeba was married and had children, he backed out from the relationship. Knowing this, Sheeba asked the young man to meet her at Adimali and pleaded with him to take her along. But the woman was well prepared. When Arun refused, she threw the acid that she brought on his face. Arun who reached Adimali in a car with his friends was having a conversation with her when the incident took place. He was rushed to a hospital in Ernakulam and then to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. However, Arun lost his one eye's eyesight completely. There is a significant burn on the face as well. After the incident, the woman went into hiding in her husband's house in Murickassery. Sheeba was arrested by Adimali police around 5 pm from there.
