Thank you for watching! 💫 And don’t forget to subscribe here: https://goo.gl/mQwVjN **************************************************************************** Recipe : Kathal Masala Preparation Time: 20 minutes Cooking Time: 25 minutes Ingredients: 1 Kg raw jackfruit, (Kathal) peeled & cubed 4 large onions, sliced 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 3-4 whole dry red chillies 2 bay leaf t 2 black cardamom 3-4 green cardamom 6-8 cloves 1 cinnamon stick 1 tbsp whole black peppercorns 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tbsp + 1 tsp turmeric powder 4 green chillies, slit 4 medium tomatoes, paste 1 tbsp coriander powder 2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tsp garam masala 1 tsp meat masala 1 tsp kasuri methi salt or to taste Mustard Oil for deep frying Chopped coriander leaves Method: Heat the mustard oil to smoke point and cool. Meanwhile, rub the kathal piece3s with 1 tbsp salt and 1 tbsp turmeric. Fry the cubed kathal in medium hot oil till golden and remove. Heat 4 tbsp oil and add the whole spices. Allow to splutter and add in the sliced onions. Sauté till golden. Mix the powdered spices with ½ cup water and add to the onions. Sauté till the oil floats on the surface. Add the pureed tomatoes and sauté again till the oil floats on the surface. Add 1 cup water and bring to a boil. Add the fried kathal pieces and mix well. Cook covered for 10-12 minutes or till the kathal is tender. Add Kasuri methi and mix well. Remove from fire and add chopped coriander.
