Various of people offering prayers for the dead STORYLINE: Protesters took to the streets of Srinagar in Indian-administered Kashmir on Saturday and engaged in stone-throwing against security forces. Police officers retaliated by firing tear gas and rubber bullets at the pro-Pakistan demonstrators. Curfews continue to be enforced in parts of the Indian-administered area, while shops remained closed across the region on Saturday following a separatist call for a shutdown until Sunday in response to the killing of a top rebel leader earlier this month. India's army said two rebels and two Indian soldiers were killed in an overnight gun battle close to the cease-fire line dividing Kashmir's Indian and Pakistani administered areas. An army spokesman said firing erupted on Friday night in the Nowgam sector after Indian soldiers spotted the insurgents, who they believed had infiltrated from the Pakistani side of the line.
