Low angle shot of flooded road STORYLINE Parts of Karachi remained flooded on Wednesday after heavy rain inundated Pakistan's main port city earlier in the week, disrupting traffic, power and telephone services. At least nine people died in the floods, police said on Tuesday. Among those killed as a result of the rising water on Monday were seven children, said a senior city police official, adding widespread flooding and outages were continuing. Heavy monsoon rains have hit many parts of Pakistan in recent weeks, damaging homes and crops and reportedly leaving at least 37 people dead.
