About this video: Bele Obbattu or bele Holige is popular traditional sweet in Karnataka which is prepared in all festivals & other special occasions across different regions in Karnataka. Obbattu is also known as Puran poli in Maharashtra which is prepared in festivals.

This Video is of Karnataka style kadle bele obbattu which is prepared using wheat flour.

Ingredients for kanaka( outer cover)
Wheat flour - 2 cups
water to knead - 1/2 cup
cooking oil - 3tbsp
turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Salt as per the taste

Ingredients for hoorna stuffing:
Bengal gram - 1 cup
Water - 2 cups ( to cook dal)
(A pinch of turmeric & 2 drops of oil to cook dal)
Jaggery - 1 cup
Cardamom - 3
